Never walk by an Artist…

Never walk by an Artist…

Dear Sis,

Do you recall last summer, when I was in Ottawa, we were out for a walk and a “stranger”  took our picture?   Well I found his e-mail address and sent him a note to let him know I would be adding this story to my blog.

Jean Boulay,  my sister Karen and I would like to thank you for taking these beautiful pictures.

To follow is the story I posted last summer on FB…..

A few days ago, when I was out for a walk with my sister, we were approached by a very kind gentleman.  He informed me that photography was his passion and he asked if he could take our picture.

He did not want any money, he simply does this because it is his passion.  He had a table and a black backdrop set up on Sparks Street, downtown Ottawa.

Yesterday, I received these pictures via e-mail.  He noted that he loves to take black and white pictures because they tell a story.  So I now look at these pictures and the story they tell.

Two sisters who love each other.  Two courageous ladies who battle MSA together, along with the support of so many others.  I see my sister as a hero. I see a mother who is determined to stay in this world to watch her children grow up.  I see a human being who lost her independance yet it is still so easy to make her smile.  I see a friend to so many people. I see someone who continues to inspire so many.

I want to thank this kind gentleman who shares his passion of photography so selflessly with the strangers who walk the streets of downtown Ottawa.  I will cherish these pictures and the story they tell.

I love you sis,

Kathy xo

  1. Kathy, you remind us what is really important in life, family and friends. Continue to “live” every moment of your life as you do and I am really looking forward to your pics from Bala.
